Just got home from the urgent care...nope nothing diabetes or baby related... i have a stupid eye infection now *rolls (infected) eyes* seriously?!?! I think I have enough to deal with without that!
Had ultrasound on thursday and everything is still looking good, Jaron is growing right on track :D bloodsugars have been good, my A1C is a 6.4 which I am super proud of considering it was a 9 when I got pregnant, I have made some serious progress!
Met with our Doula last week to start working on birth plan and all that good stuff, I also bought the hypnobirthing book, although I don't have the time (or money eeeesh) to take the class, I figure reading the book will at least help. I'm still planning on going au naturale if everything works out. No pain meds, no epidural, NO PITOCIN! Keep your fingers crossed and your hands and hearts in prayer for me :)
I'm starting this blog while I am 19 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I have been a type one diabetic since I was three years old, so for the past 21 years. I want to share my experiences, rants, joys, and frustrations with being pregnant and diabetic and as a diabetic mommy!

34 weeks
Yep, still awful at updating. Sorry for anyone who actually looks at this, lol. Went to my 34 weeks ultrasound today and everything is still looking great! Baby Jaron is still growing right no track, measuring within two days of my due date :D I am so glad he is still growing right on track, I'm so worried he is going to get too big!
I'm having a rough time breath and my ribs feel like they may break at any moment, lol. Baby has also caused my muscles to tear apart towards the top of my belly, and doctor said not to be surprised if they split more. Good news: no complications related to diabetes, and baby looks great! Bad news: I HURT and feel like crap.
We also bought a house and got all moved in the first week of September, now I am trying unsuccessfully to get things unpacked and put away. It's very hard to do when I can hardly bend or breath, but my boyfriend is great and helps as much as he can when he isn't working. I am a lucky lucky girl :)
While my dad was in town helping us move my boyfriend asked him if he could marry me, haha yes we're doing it all WAY backwards :) So I'm very excited for him to finally ask ME, lol. Guess we'll see ;-)

26 weeks
Well I'm over 26 weeks along now. Things aren't really getting any easier, my pump alarms are driving me up a wall tonight, I have a low battery, my sensor refused to connect and now my reservoir is low... but I am at work for another 2 hours so I can't deal with these things until then. If I didn' need to stay hooked up to my pump for my little man I'd throw it through a window right now!!!! Definitley something I would have thought about pre pregnancy hehe. Oh how having a little one inside of me depending on me to take care of myself has changed me.
A little off topic, but exciting is the fact that my boyfriend and I are in the process of house hunting! my wonderful and crazy grandmother is going to help us buy our first house :D I am so excited I can hardly stand it, all I want is a little house of our own to bring Jaron home to!

I'm a slacker
So I started this blog quite awhile ago because I wanted a place to vent and get my thoughts out there and potentially connect with, inspire or find comfort with other diabetics, especially diabetic moms... and I have written like two whole posts and I'm pretty sure no one even knows that my blog exists, because I haven't even bothered telling anyone about it :) So maybe I'll do that.
So my updates for this post include the fact that I am now on a CGM and getting used to it... it hurts to put in and half the time hurts when i move certain ways because I am not yet an expert at inserting and locating yet another piece of diabetic equiptment, BUT I have finally nailed the pesky dawn phenomenon at 3am and increased my basal at that point and I am FINALLY waking up in the 90s :D yayyyyyyyyy me!
I have another ultrasound today and get to see my beautiful baby boy again, soooo excited, So I am sure I will be posting again later about it!

CGM
I got my continuous glucose monitor put on today. I am feeling very iffy about it for silly superficial reasons, such as hating having yet another thing attached to my body (when I already am feeling quite awkward smuggling a melon in my shirt, volcanic eruptions on my previously acne free skin, and horrible stretch marks). I am happy, however, to have another tool to begin helping me keep my diabetes in better control, since becoming pregnant has made this MUCH more important to me.

Feeling icky
Not feeling very good today :( tummy is upset and headache, plus all the other aches and pains. I start physical therapy tomorrow for the Sciatica pain.
Blood sugars have been good for the most part, as long as I remember to bolus at least fifteen minutes before I eat and count carbs right I think it's going pretty well... still having a very hard time remembering to write down BGs though, so I have got to do that for the doctor next week!
I am still working as a part time receptionist.. well it's more like security, aid, phone answering service hahaha but the elderly residents are sweet and as long as my legs keep moving I should be able to continue working through the pregnancy God Willings :)
Baby shower plans are underway for two showers, one in Billings and one in Powell, so that should be fun i guess haha.
